Oh well, hopefully it will give me the option to select one next season. It amazingly still has an active modding community with up to date team rosters, player stats, and even completely new player models and textures (the game is surprisingly available to modding). It seems like you have to complete the season goals in order to make it to the Hall of Fame at some point. And since the game developers abandoned the idea of PC baseball back in 2011, the last good game we were left with is MLB 2k12. I played through all of spring training and then it said I could select a season goal, but it never gave me any to select. Yeah, I also completed my rookie season, won the World Series, and then after the offseason, it gave me the team goal, which was also to win the championship again. I would assume any challenge will complete the achievement though. I haven't completed the achievement yet, so I can't confirm whether any goal works or if you have to select a Tier 4 or Gold challenge.

The amount of points you earn by completing depends obviously on the difficulty of the goal. There is a Tier 1-4 to choose from and they are ranked Gold, Silver, and Bronze in each tier. I believe it was after spring training, the game automatically opens up a list for you, having different goals you can select. I completed my rookie season, and won the World Series, after the offseason, it selected the team goal for me, which was to win the championship again (which is kind of a stupid goal and should go without saying considering every teams goal is to win the championship).
